As our world faces the largest refugee crisis it has seen in decades, many of us have grappled with the question of what can we do to help?
Carry the Future, a global non-profit, was started by a mom who wanted to make a difference and help mothers fleeing with their children for safety. She raised money and collected baby carriers to give to mothers around the world. As this movement has grown, her organization is expanding to help provide mothers with diapers to keep their children healthy.
I am excited to announce, that on March 12, we will be collecting diapers for local refugee families who have been resettled in Charleston. We are also collecting $10 donations for Carry the Future to directly give diapers to mothers + their children surviving in refugee camps around the world.
We will be joined by Kelly Warren, a leader in our community who has dedicated her time to resettling refugee families in the Charleston area and who is advocating for these precious lives. She will share her story with us and give actionable steps that we can all take to make a difference in the lives of others.
If you would like more details on the event, please send me an email and I will be happy to share the event details with you. You can also give directly to Carry the Future here: http://www.carrythefuture.org/donations/givehope/.
Thank you for staying involved!
